I find it hard to believe the Dash 8 didn’t have a transponder; they’re a requirement for operating in controlled airspace. Maybe it wasn’t an ADS-B unit but one of the older 4096 transponders? I also don’t understand how the Airbus didn’t see the Dash on the runway at night with its lights on. (But I suppose that’s

Wot? Cake then death?

Even moreso if you have to be forcibly extricated from said mangled pile of crap.

Cake? Or death?

And here’s the kid keeping up family traditions.

The 350 (5.7) in my 1975 Monte Carlo was rated at 145hp. 4bbl, headers, and a decent cam helped a bit, but it was still a low-compression smog motor with shitty heads.

That’s also where they find all the guns dumbasses try to bring on airplanes “forgetting” they had it with them. Last year I took a photo at the airport in Wichita of a TSA display showing how many guns had been taken from carry-on bags going thru security. It’s unreal.

Same with guys building Cobra replicas with 500, 600+ hp. It’s unusable power - 2300lb curb weight with little weight on the axle. But they still do it like it’s some bullshit bragging rights thing. There’s a reason why those cars have a rep for biting n00bs in the arse.

I didn’t realize the C6 had that option. After looking through a Vette forum I can see it’s a thing.

We’ve done three 7-day cruises and they’ve been terrific; we were always left wanting more. I can see doing a 10-day cruise but don’t think I’d want to be on a ship for much longer than that. 14 days max I’d think.

Yeah, you’d have to hear it to see if it was really obnoxious. I don’t think the C6 had electric bypasses though, so pulling a fuse prob wasn’t an option. You’d have to yoink the cats and/or resonators to make it loud.

Having recently read about the long-term effects of AFFF exposure, now with composite a/c in the fleet the ARFF job seems even more hazardous. We suited up whenever the truck rolled out but our job was just to throw foam and knock down the fire while the local FD responded to do the heavy lifting. We weren’t supposed

Must be a regional thing. Those kinds of people around here tend to be the eurotrash types driving Porsches and Fer/Lamb/Masers with the pneumatic lady friends.

As a former airport ops/ARFF responder, I’m curious about how they handled a big composite-hulled a/c burning like this. Afaik this is the first loss of an A350; I bet that smoke was just nasty.

You have an issue with boob-enhanced wives? And define inappropriately young for us in the peanut gallery.

The NewBalance/jorts crowd don’t mod their Vettes.

Even though it’s not a Grand Sport the C6 is my fav generation so for me it’s a NP. The mileage is low, the color is nice (not black/white/silver/grey) and it’s got three pedals. The dopey wing can come off and if the exhaust is too loud that can be fixed fairly easily. We’ve all seen cars with much more egregious

The sound of freedom, punctuated by breaking glass and shredded metal.

Looks like something from a video game, but I know it’s real.

Of course, Cayenne is pronounced “Touareg” in Wolfsburg. I wouldn’t want either of them.
