Just a few thoughts here:

A bit late to the party (4 1/2 years?) but still a good story. 

I believe most microchips come from Taiwan, not China. Clearly, I was referring to the cheap consumer garbage that comes from there. 

Considering China’s reputation for quality products, you’d think the first hurricane to pass through the area would erase those “islands” back into the sea.
