Yep, and airline pilot have to do sim training twice a year but they still have to get X number of landings in on the actual aircraft because that can’t be recreated in the sim.

LOVE the C6 Grand Sport. What color?
Ask any old Mopar owner.
Phase 1: Buy a C8
Phase 2: Tack on big markup
I realize this will not be a high-production vehicle, and it does address a segment that’s essentially recession-proof and isn’t affected by fuel cost, but the idea of a giant 700hp SUV just strikes me as insanely wasteful even if I do appreciate the performance intent. I’m not really sure who this vehicle is for.
That’s a lightweight compared to the 4,000lb Mitsu 3000GT top trim.
Huh. They should engineer a front diff disconnect just for grins.
Eloquently stated. I agree.
In all fairness, a Tesla Plaid will smoke pretty much anything short of a Top Fuel car at a light. As far as jerk magnets, hopefully you don’t give in to the temptation to race some asswipe with something to prove. The cop Vette idea is awesome; would like to see some department try it out. I don’t miss my boat much,…
Years ago I had a beautiful ‘69 Stingray roadster. It wasn’t the fastest Vette by any stretch - hell, nowadays a V6 Camry is prob just as fast. But it put a smile on my face every time I drove it, and that’s all that mattered to me.
Far as I know Ciocca Chevrolet in NJ (formerly Kerbeck) is still selling Vettes at MSRP. They’re the largest Corvette dealer in the US.
So what was the pilot’s buddy in the right seat doing while his friend was vapor-locking??
“Falls like a rock” is a bit of an overstatement - that’s a spin you’re describing. A stall is a much gentler maneuver, and easy to recover from just by lowering the nose.
Yup. I’ve flown Caravans for charters and taught in 172. No real comparison other than the high wing and fixed gear.
He can’t log it as PIC even though he was the one flying the plane. Only legal way he could was if he was flying with an instructor as a student pilot. He could put it in a logbook but it’s not countable as instruction.
If you thought that ‘78 DeVille was bad, just three years later the L62 V8-6-4 engine came out to make a mediocre car even worse.
Self-driving has become self-mutilating?
5th: I had one for a week and got to drive it on a friend’s track. I’m no Senna, but that car was fun to flog.
Javelin is a better name for a car than Lawn Dart.
“By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?”
