Interesting take. I’ve only recently started checking out BaT from their daily email, and those prices are eye-watering.

Love the ‘69 Charger and have watched them get more & more expensive over the years. But for 72k I’d want a stock R/T with three pedals. Or even a 4-speed SE.
Nyet. I’m in the US. My ‘98 Jetta TDI went 220k miles with few issues, and I sold it with the original clutch still holding tight. That was a great car.
What a coinky-dink. I drive a Kia Sorento now.
Just play it safe and stick to something under, say, 70 feet and you’ll be fine. No self-respecting oligarch would have a yacht that small.
My last 3 were TDIs and they were all terrific. That 2003 TDI was one of the horrific Mk4 cars that sunk VW’s rep in the US.
Username checks out.
But he will have paid for a new Mirage, thus signaling demand to Mitsubishi to keep building said car. Not the outcome we’re after here.

Why is that man running with a pizza?
No doubt. The ‘75 Monte Carlo I had in high school had doors over 4 feet long. Major PITA when parking.

You’d think the heat of the frying pan or griddle would be enough to kill mold spores, right?
Dumbfuckery has reached an exciting new low. How many citizen arrests result in lawsuits for false imprisonment?
Mother’s dinner date?
Our local gloryhole has pretty strict vetting requirements for just that reason.
I skipped the snort and guffaw and went right to the chortle.
I happen to love the XK8 in coupe or roadster form, and for 4 kilobucks you’re in fuck it let’s do it territory. Are there some potential land mines here? Sure, but if you know that going in and can turn a wrench you can limit the cashish outlay to fix the car’s issues. Budget $4k to fix any problems you can’t handle…
