A curious response after being presented evidence that contradicts your statement of 100% accuracy at top speed. Without radar or GPS you have no idea if the speedo is accurate - that was my original point. I read the Grand Prix GT was governed to 140mph. How’d you get to 158?

No, as the speed increases the % error increases. US cars are allowed a certain amount of error. At 150mph as in the article, the acceptable range is 6 mph, so your 158 indicated could be as low as 152. You’d have to check it against GPS at that speed to know for sure. Don’t assume anything.
