I think that’s what makes dry-erase marker stains ridiculously hard to remove from clothing. I found that (thanks to the internet) Murphy’s Oil Soap does a great job getting the stains out. A little regular soap and water will get the rest off of your 2-year old.

I’d suggest a good water bottle as well. We’ve had good luck with the Camelbak Eddy bottles. Don’t really leak, and are tough as nails.
