What I am saying is 2 things: 1) that it is ironic that he said this, then did the opposite. and that 2), your point is straw man fallacy - going from player to coach is a related skillset. Or from player to media within sports, OK.

Curt's last blog post is pure irony:

Silly me, I thought a whole baseball team won the World Series.

Caves have been around a lot longer than Plato.

Development studios are unlike the rest of corporate America in this respect.

SOE employee?

If a game has merit, it should stand on its own.

In case anyone wonders when there is so much Schadenfreude about 38 Studios among other developers is because Schilling is basically a rich, powerful version of your average 12-year old boy who thinks he could make the next big game.

It is basically a prettier version of WoW. I don't think that this is a market you can tap into without innovating.

I will say this - when developing for the 360, it is very useful since you have the reset the device about a thousand times a day and the easiest way is to slide your finger across that button.

Translation: "We wanted to cash in on people not pirating our games".

Good luck saying anything anti-piracy on Kotaku. This place is full of entitled 12-year olds too busy assuring everyone that "since they never would have bought the game, piracy didn't hurt the developer."

You mean Prometheus, not KOA2

Please tell me you aren't implying that 38 Studios got screwed (by someone other than Schilling that is.)

Too bad for Schilling running a profitable game company isn't as simple as throwing a piece of leather really fast.

More often, the developers would be willing to admit it but are blocked from speaking out by the publisher. This is a multi-million, and in some cases billion dollar business - there are people at high levels who need to be obeyed if future business is to be conducted.

Try texturing in one of the 3d painting packages, like 3D Coat - I found it significantly easier.

Hmm, did you grow up in Chicago?

A friend of mine bit his TG16 controller playing Legendary Axe, left a deep row of teeth impressions too, it was pretty impressive.

Not an apt comparison. Maybe a 320kbps MP3. And in a lot of situations, I would actually say yeah, they sound just fine. I'm too busy living my life, enjoying music to split hairs over barely imperceptible differences in sound and image quality. Enjoy your $10,000 speaker cables too.
