Sadly, it’s all about profit with hotels and other service industries. If they can legally just pay their staff minimum wage or less, they will, no matter how much they are charging you for a room. It is a practice that seems to only exist in this country. That’s capitalism.

As someone who works at a hotel, the points reward program is actually there to help out with housekeeping and give them less work.
