Apple is a master at getting you to mentally justify going up to the next model, for sure. I agree, 64 is just too small nowadays and at the next level, the Pro looks really good.

This show is starting to lose me...I really liked the second part of the 1st season, seems like it regressing back. The humor isn’t working (the sex scene was terrible) and the they are pushing the nostalgia button a little too hard. You’ve established the characters, now go tell some Trek stories with humor (hey, The

I used pay yourself back to burn down some points. No point on having them sit there when the reward value was the same as the actual travel portal. On the fence about renewing the Reserve card, though. Heard they were waiving the fee bump if you call...

Unless something has changed recently...you’re sacrificing a lot of performance and app selection going with Fire tablets. And “retina” displays are way better for reading. Which is why Amazon went that way with their e-readers. Fire tablets are decent portable video devices.

Try disabling GPU acceleration in Chrome (and all Chromium based apps). Solved a lot of annoyances for me.

My last laptop, an Intel based Lenovo Windows machine ran hot and loud. My current laptop, a 16” Macbook Pro, runs hot and loud. My iPad Pro barely gets warm. It’s not hard to figure out why Apple (and Microsoft, too, really) want to ditch Intel. Apple just did it right, honing their silicon on their mobile platform

I’m wondering if your cable company is playing favorites. Never had an issue with Youtube TV

For me, Youtube TV is the best of the “cable” streamers out there. Easy to use interface, unlimited cloud storage, great service (if a tad overly compressed). Never went out during last year’s super bowl, for example. Can’t even remember the last time it didn’t just work. It’s the Apple of streaming services. The

As I understand it, Apps like Netflix, HBO Go, Kindle are consider “reader” apps and are basically exempt from in-app purchase options. Clearly this is because those apps are “super popular” and not having them in the App store would hurt Apple’s platform overall.

Compared to some big tech firms, Apple is a saint where it comes to this stuff. It’s one of the primary reasons I stick with their ecosystem. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than the data harvesting model of some of their competitors.

I know it’s popular to hate on Picard, but this was a pretty Trek-y episode, finally. Heavy morality play, seemingly utopian society having to make a “hard” choice, big bad threat coming. Even the colorful plants and scantily clad citizens would’ve fit in early TNG season or TOS. If they stick the landing, I think

I asked a TSA agent in NY if my WA EDL license was compliant and was told no. So hopefully TSA agents get some more training before the deadline. Also TSA appears to be rolling out ID scanners that may make TSA agents’ opinion moot, anyway. Two TSA pre lanes I was in last week had them...didn’t even need a boarding

Depends on the firm, I suppose.

Not true. My last company required 4 long-haul flights in the last year before you could even ASK for VP approval for business class. Guess how often that VP approval actually happened? Hell, most first line managers won’t even run it up the flagpole as it still comes out of their budget.

Every 15 minutes is not typical. They’ve improved substantially but there’s still unexplained outages. Say once a week instead of daily. The most disappointing thing for me is the UI still does not expose basic stuff that you have to configure via the debug mode/CLI.

I generally liked where everyone ended up but agree Tyrion’s choice made little narrative sense unless he was trying to make amends for his brother’s act of cruelty to Bran. Which is possible, but ultimately not explained.

I disagree. Getting impeached would fit into his whole victimhood narrative and give conservative media months of talking points with daily talking points to fill up hours on Fox news and talk radio. It would the entire focus of his campaign should he actually decide to run. Even better, it gives him an excuse to walk

I agree and I think one of the more satisfying endings would by Varys implementing some sort of representative rule after the main players off each other. But I don’t think that’s where they are heading with this.

I’ve been saying that since he came back into the show. Dany’s “clever” move last week lines him up. But somehow I feel like this was the show writing him out rather than setting him up for the throne. The proposal and subsequent rejection felt like the end of his story. Off to Storm’s End with ye Gendry, your
