I've set up my workspace so I can switch easily. I sit for an hour, stand for an hour (or longer sometimes). I do feel like I work faster sitting down, but conference calls are great standing up.

I can't tell you how many night's of sleep I gave up to stay up and watch Dave Letterman in High School. Houston's NBC affiliate often delayed Late Night for Rocky and Bullwinkle reruns or some other syndicated programming...and it was worth staying up for. No one has really captured that "must see" programming since…
Treat people fairly, but never forget you are now the boss. I don't mean this to mean to go on some sort of power trip, but ultimately you are responsible for actions and production of your new team, so make sure things are being done to your satisfaction since you will be the one answering your boss' questions when…
The Maple Bacon kettle chips are too much maple, not enough bacon. You're OK missing out.
I have Roku and Apple TV and if I could mash the two into one unit I would. Neither one is perfect, and they're both frustratingly "almost" great. I resisted the Apple TV but if you iDevices it's a pretty nice accessory. The Roku seems like it has more channels.

A lot of narratives will be revived this week. Romo can't win in December. Garrett can't manage the clock. Romo's 4th quarter interceptions are never his fault because someone made a helluva play. It doesn't matter. This team needs to be blown up and rebuilt. I think Romo would probably take a better team deep in the…
I think they're betting on the Cowboys losing another game and this might be the only chance to get the suddenly hot Eagles on prime time. Week 17 could be meaningless given the Cowboys D.
Full disclosure: I have a degree in CS from a long time ago (1994). C++ was just rolling out back then. I took network engineering path after graduating but recently decided to take a programming course or two just to keep that tool sharp in the toolkit (I code occasionally as a network engineer, mostly scripting).
It's amazing because 5:35 on the West Coast is the same time they'd be playing anyway (8:35 Eastern). It's not like the game starts at 8:35 Pacific.
The lists get more expensive the older they get, but it's easier to tell them no, too.
Hmm. I haven't really had an issue with it working. But I know people who have so this may help.
That bandwagoning argument is ridiculous. The Cowboys have been mediocre for almost 20 years. Anyone left standing is definitely a true Cowboys fan at this point. Some of us actually grew up Cowboys fans around the Dallas area.
NFL announced this year they were cracking down on the verbal stuff, too. Of course, an official would have to actually hear it which I would think would be fairly difficult in most game situations.
No the replay clearly showed he slid into the endzone after hitting the ground.
I would say a lot of the symptoms he describes I would say may be more related to his age than anything else, depending on what is going on in his life.
I buy Amazon because they come in longer sizes. Quite honestly, the standard Apple cables are too short, particularly for wall chargers.
I'm not going to argue that banging your head around day in and day out is good for you. Because there is really no way that it isn't going hurt you in some way. But the studies so far have definitely been plagued by selection bias. And I know "NFL is evil" is popular, but honestly, when confronted with these studies…
The Rookie symposium is actually a pretty great thing the league does to try and curtail bad behavior and inform their employees. Ross Tucker has gone into detail about how they work and why they are important on his podcast and it is pretty interesting listening.
Agreed. I'd say 10" is a great size for PDFs and watching movies. I've actually read e-books on a 3.5" in the past, and while not ideal, it wasn't awful. I can see where a large screen phone (4-5") and 10" tablet would just be about the ideal traveling companions.
I think Mexico City is a good idea myself. When I was down there in 2011, had no trouble catching the games. They were on everywhere. Obviously a huge fan base down there. However, I believe there are a lot of Cowboys fans and I'm Jerry doesn't want to mess that up (surprised he let a team back into Houston).
