Wared he get hurt?
Wared he get hurt?
Can we discuss this guy's 'backdrop?' I understand that this chap is probably at/near the bottom of the ESPN-guy depth chart, but that 'library' is just sad. It's like he saw the volumes upon volumes of text in a Schefter or Vitale interview and said "Oh shoot! Gotta get some books to smarten this place up!"

Sounds like the same guy who ran the Stephen Drew account in the ALCS/WS last year.
Yea, obviously if it caused a fatal accident it would/should change his mind. That is the slipperiest fucking slope I've ever seen constructed. It's like saying that every single example of recklessness/carelessness could lead to murder... so shit, let's just say this guy murdered someone.
Heh? I know...
18:100,000 what? 18 deaths per that many hours? Without context, this doesn't mean a whole lot.
I thought this would be the case. It seems like the entire gamut of causes are leading to death over there - dehydration, contamination, infection, etc.
Wouldn't the current players want to hyperinflate for their own sake? Why not say Trout is worth $100m/yr!? Obviously that wouldn't sway the owners etc., but ya know... union and all...
Is there data - or is it reasonable? - to expect that the number of deaths for a similar project in the United States would be 0? Less than 10?
PHIFE. DAWG.
This is going to be fun.
Of course they would. And they would be wrong (or maybe not... who knows). They're all great.
"Anthony Davis made a number of plays that would make anyone in the arena think they were watching the best big man in the NBA."
Eric Hosmer = Brice Jared
Well, to attempt to find some middle ground, a lot of players didn't come by the accomplishments honestly. Perry is in the hall of fame, along with a number of bat corkers, pill poppers, etc., not to mention the just horrible humans (Anson, Cobb, etc.). I think Bonds can be there, and I think he can have a plaque - I…
I think some are reading into my initial post incorrectly, and assume that I don't think Bonds should be recognized at all. I'm just saying that I don't think it's "nice to see him back." (!) I don't think that's an absurd statement by any means - I don't think it's "bad to see him back" either! I just think it's…
The same way that I feel about Bonds - that regardless of the substances the players put into their bodies, the statistics and feats they achieved are still worthy of being recognized. One discrepancy, however, was that the use of amphetamines was not illegal in the game when Mantle, Mays, and Aaron used them, and…
I agree re: he only harmed himself. I'm just trying to temper the idea that this guy should be lauded once he stepped back into the light, regardless of his achievement -which as you noted - pretty much make him the greatest player any of us on this site have ever seen. The guy cheated - without the slightest bit of…
I don't really think it's "sort of nice to see him again." While this may not be true, I feel like any empathy that is shared towards Bonds is born as an over reactive counter-argument to the pearl clutching faction of the BBWAA/writers in general. Totally agree that Bonds should be in the Hall of Fame; Bonds is baseba…
