@BigHarv: 2 year old FWD "touring sedan"
I've been "driving" since I was five years old, or perhaps younger, just not automobiles. I had a little ~50cc snowmobile I started riding quite young and then I also got a small dirtbike (it was one of the Indians made in the far east somewhere during the 70s). I was driving my dad's F-150 pickup and Farmall model…
What is up with the UK and this apparantly burning desire to monitor and control the populace every second of their lives? I don't understand...
@Roberto G.: I gurantee there are safety regulations, and those "fences" most likely meet them in that jurisdiction. A casual mistake does not get a vehicle through them. I've seen pictures of them holding up full size trucks that tried to make the leap, so I'm not sure how this minivan escaped.
@JC Whitless: I don't know who that guy is, but it looks like he is warming up his motorboat...
I just spent a couple days driving around that same area (Las Vegas to Death Valley and back, etc.) last week and my mind was indeed filled with "possibilities". Unfortuantely, I was driving a Hyundai rental. The drive was still awesome. Lots of potential out there, both for scenic touring and epic desert hoonage.
@DGarbs567: Never owned one, but have had the misfortune of driving a few. I agree that they have made some decent models, but some of their cars have been so bad I simply don't understand how someone would end up purchasing one if they had tried an alternative.
Sweet...
The color is nice, but it is the 5-speed that makes this car. Still, the price is hard to stomach when you see all the automatic equipped 400i cars available for much less.
I was convinced until I remembered the #1 reason cars are better.
@Fast_Nel: What the heck is in the lower left corner of that pic? Giant paw? Wookie fist?
@Slave2anMG: Bavarian MGB on acid? You say that like it is a bad thing...
So this is just lane splitting in stationary traffic, right? So, while waiting at a light the motorcycles can move to the front? That might make some sense, but good luck getting people to accept it. I've seen people intentionally swerve into a motorcycles lane to apparantly teach them some sort of lesson. I can…
smokey burnouts save lives
"nearly 190,000 miles"
@longdx: I feel the same way. Every time I start thinking about getting a bike, I think about the two auto collisions I've experienced in the last seven years. Both times I was stopped, waiting for a light to turn and someone hit me from behind. One of the times in particular, the woman (who happened to be talking…
Look at those white, fluffy clouds billowing like mana from heaven. I bet they smelled nice.
@Van Sarockin, rogue trebuchet: What year SAAB? Newer ones only call for regular anyway...
