After the e-racers took out Seb at ROC a couple weeks ago, I’d have to say that they do a fine job replicating car racing.
Came to say the same. I came from the world of standalone ECUs where everything is a click away. I ventured into the world of mechanical everything to learn something new (holly pumper, manual choke, manual secondary, power valves, acc. pumps) and its like trying to unravel a Rube Goldsburg project to mix fuel and…
the audi i5 is wayyyy longer than a VR6. I’ve had both, its not even close.
They take to turbos really well, and with a modern standalone you can leave the internals alone, plop on a turbo, fuel pump and injectors and have 400whp for relatively cheap. Add E85 and you can push further still. Not bad when you consider the light weight cars these came in.
Is the top tube bent near the seat tube junction? The Lightspeed catalogue didn’t show that feature, is it a really small size?
Same, I’m in Richmond and I seem to recalling some recent news relating to “south” history things happening in the city.
There is no track in the world that goes 100-30-100-30 that quickly. That slow down is always followed by a turn and that turn is always followed by a strait segment before another braking zone. Chances are you’re shaving little speed off, not droping to 30 mph.
It would not get back to 100 and back to 0 in near the same amount of time, it’d have way more cooling time...
A MK2 Scirocco or Corrado could be considerations as well if you don’t want to fight unobtainium part challenges. C4 corvette is also another option.
I was going to say C4 as well. Get an 89 or 90 so you have the digital dash with the much better 6-speed manual and your set.
Gunther has a pretty extensive race team management history and the business strategy was all his (sub-contract as much as you can, focus on operations). There is no Hass F1 without Gunther.
IDK that it falls squarely on Hass, they got shafted out of a lot of money by the ferrari cheater engine last year. At least they lived to fight another day, Williams had to sell out despite having the premium engine.
I get a feeling this was Ford’s response plan if/when gas prices reached levels where car buying might see an uptick. Cheap, efficient, responsible, adequate.
Towing capacity has more to do with brake, vehicle weight, and power rather than number of wheels driven.
I came here to say the same, Mini-S is as close to a hatchback miata as you can get. Get a 4-door mini-S and you can step comfortably into the realm of practical.
The science agrees!

The cheapest cable package in my area is still $59.99/mo. Thats ~10 superscriptions to break even...
It also has roadkill and a ton of racing that you can’t really get elsewhere without a cable subscription
It’s no different that the current cable world. Basic package, sports, package, movie package, etc. except you are not limited by what those predefined packages are.
