Just install a giant, spring-loaded boxing glove on the thing

I rewatched the first three last summer for the first time in ages. The first is genuinely brilliant, and a strong contender for one of the best pure Summer blockbusters of the last 25 years.

“The Librarians: The Next Chapter”

Obviously the ancient aliens made the waterway.

Credit to commenter tscarp2 for my guess at Natasha Lyonne as Alicia Masters.

I’ll basically watch anything I find Natasha Lyonne in, so I consider this positive news for a movie I really hope gets everything right.

Brassy redhead acerbic enough to date a guy made of rocks? Yeah, Natasha tracks.

Never been more glad to be an AI that manages asteroid mining. You know who can’t lick a toilet? A swarm of mindless robots that fly around digging platinum out of big chunks of iron.

Violence has never forced anyone’s hand.

You humans are a weird species.

Influencers want everything except self respect.

Very cool review, except ... I’ve only seen this trailer so far, which seems to feature Hemsworth a lot. But “his accent is weird” seems a strange reading of an Australian actor in an ultra-Australian saga by an Australian director.

Considering IO9 regularly covers Doctor Who, it’s curious that no mention has been made about how the viewership fell off a cliff after Gatwa and Monsoon dared fans not to turn in during their press tours?

Also a 30%-er here. I thought the series was pretty good. Not amazing, nor actively terrible, but pleasant enough to watch week after week, especially since the visuals and music both perfectly capture the richness of Tolkien’s world, which is like my ideal happy place at this point.

Don’t think of this as part of Tolkien canon, and it’s perfectly enjoyable as an unrelated fantasy tale that just happens to share some familiar names.

I’ll add my name to the list of those who finished and enjoyed it, and am looking forward to season 2.

The cinematography was actually pretty great from what I can see in the trailer. It may not match up with the look from the films, but it’s far from utter shit.

My wife and I watched it every week and generally enjoyed it. She doesn’t even like that kind of show, usually. The show is beautiful, even if someone is (unlike me) hating the story / character choices.

30% here, and my wife as well. We were disappointed they didn’t have a timeline for the second season, so we weren’t sure there would be more. But, we both enjoyed it.

30%-er right here! I thought it was quite enjoyable and I’m definitely looking forward to more seasons. I didn’t know if any more were being made! I’m a little disappointed that the trailer didn’t feature even a tease of the other major storyline, but no biggie.
