Pretty sure it’s written in big bold letters on every one of my folders.

Thanks for your perspective!

What’s disconcerting is that many comments here don’t see the problem with this, which is that experimenting on human beings without their permission is wrong. Full stop. This is especially egregious from a state university that requires me (I’m a grad student at UofA) to fill out forms in triplicate whenever I want

The University of Arizona isn’t a private business—I think you’re confusing with the University of Phoenix?

Paradise Island

Oh I know, that’s why I brought it up. If that’s not the film you watched, I definitely recommend it. Professor Marston and the Wonder Women is a very sweet movie.

I mean, surely Thanos already has the Soul Stone when the movie starts? Or the conflict will be between Thanos (who has an army) and the Avengers (who have a Hulk. I mean, multiple Infinity Stones).

I like her because she seems so earnest in whatever they put her in.

I’m of the opinion that these are all pointless to film unless they bring along the Mrss W’s.

Homoerotic BDSM or GTFO.

That’s not even why I think he shouldn’t have won, but somebody is damn defensive, aren’t they?

When you see the film, you’ll know why I called it Oscar-bait. The scene where it happens is pretty obvious.

Also! Best Original Screenplay is where truly bold, original, and daring pictures usually get their moment to shine: cf Citizen Kane, Sunset Boulevard, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, Chinatown, Network, Thelma & Louise, and Her.

Wow, I am speechless at this take.

Glad del Toro has finally gotten the Oscars he really deserves (although only by making his most Oscar-bait film yet) and that Jordan Peele didn’t walk away empty-handed, but Get Out should have been the best picture winner, no matter how much I love The Shape of Water.

I had a reoccurring nightmare/horror-daydream for lots of my childhood that I eventually connected to watching Alien(s? it’s unclear) way too young. Now Alien is my favorite film.

Came for this. Am not disappointed.

In Annihilation, life will come to you.

This would be...ok. I was hoping for Cheetah, but I was also hoping for a woman of colour.

I’ll allow it IF it includes the five weeks he stayed uninvited at Charles Dickens’s house.
