There was an ‘open door policy’ prior WWI but in the early 1920s (I believe the immigration act of 1924) that went out window. That act limited legal immigration to something like 2% of the current ethnic population already in the US.

If someone goes through the legal process of becoming a US citizen, assimilates with US policies and pay taxes I’ll welcome them with open arms.

Fortunately that is not current foreign policy nor does it hold any legal standing. It is a nice sentiment but holds no real worth. The truth is, a quip regarding immigration and foreign policy cannot begin to deal with the complexity of the issue at hand. Nations have the right to determine how and when people enter

Interesting! I’ve been using that for years not realizing it was a ‘formal’ technique used for splicing. Kind of came upon it after a few trial and errors when I needed a really strong splice.

It seems that the main reason for using a unibody for an SUV (in this case a truck) is to improve handling and ride quality through the use of independent suspension on all four corners. When you start using a unibody, with solid axles, that point is mute and ride quality goes out the window. At that point it makes

Well it sounds like you have your own system down. And I’m glad to hear that you bleed the brakes after opening the bleed valves.

Would be even better if the throttle was hand operated and steering/braking was done through foot pedals...then it would be truly aircraft-ish.

Nope, that is a great pad/rotor combination. I personally run EBC USR rotors and EBC Yellow pads on my 4runner...all the brake dust.

Everything you are saying is making me cringe.

It is more than possible...it is a fact. You only remove the hard-line if you have to change the caliper.

You are doing the brakes 100% wrong. It shouldn’t take more than 40min to do the pads and rotors.

I am genuinely interested in what vehicle you’d recommend if I was looking to replace my 2000 3rd gen 4runner. It gets (18mpg, which is good enough for me), has a solid rear axle, locker and low range. Aside from another 4runner my only real option for a new car would seem to be mid and full-sized crew-cab trucks,

Locking diff is helpful but for a ladder frame truck not to have a low range, that is absurd. Based on that, it is almost worthless for my needs.

Not worth the time of day then.

I was wondering the same thing. I can wait a week but if the soundtrack isn’t the same as the on-air show then I really don’t care. Will not watch.

Will we get the BBC on-air versions though? Honestly, I can’t watch the old Top Gear on Netflix because they don’t have the original soundtrack.

Perhaps not entirely ford but the modular v8 is still strong with this one. Looks like parts could almost be interchangeable. So one could forgive the confusion. Top (Regera), Bottom (Ford Modular)

You know, I was wondering about that as well...I’ve never seen a gas engine leave a contrail before.

Congratulations, you just made senior editor!
