To be fair, some of these are all-women schools like Agnes Scott. The likelihood of a rape happening on campus is lower in those circumstances.

ZERO?
I don’t know why this show doesn’t get as much praise. I think it’s great and I like it more than the Amy Schumer show and she’s done a lot better than what Hannibal Buress did. Comedy Central is great, it’s the best hour on TV and they have the best show on TV now imo (Nathan For You). I hope this show last for…
Does anyone else struggle with the ambiguity of “coercion,” especially in the context of sex crime studies? The definition always seems fluid depending on who is doing the study and it never feels clearly defined for me.
Those force and threat numbers for athletes versus non-athletes show the importance of accountability for wrongdoing. Athletes know they’ll be given a level of protection if they’re accused of sexual assault that non-athletes won’t get.
She’s a temptress like Eve.
Considering the amount of deaths fentanyl has caused in the past year, I’m actually shocked someone is addicted to it and still around to talk about it.
There’s a difference between giving someone advice on how to reduce their risk of getting raped, and telling them it’s their fault if they get raped because they deviated from that advice.
Or demanding that men be removed from all positions of authority since they are prone to strike once under the influence.
It’s good advice. The problem is men rape women when they’re drunk because it’s easier. But if every woman stopped drinking tomorrow, men would still commit rape. Perhaps by putting date rape drugs into nonalcoholic drinks instead of alcoholic drinks. What then? Should women stop drinking anything in public? Women in…
But it doesn’t matter if I’m sober, I still can’t necessarily ward off the advances of a rapist. It’s not a woman’s intoxication- although that does make them ideal targets for opportunists- it’s her lack of power, physically and politically.
That’s what surprises me about this story. This couple wasnt criticizing Trump over his economic policies. They were calling him out for hate and bigotry. I don’t know why any industry would want to seen to be supporting that.
That's exactly why I can't imagine being famous or a corporate-sponsored athlete. The freedom to speak up for your beliefs is what you give up in exchange, not something I could ever imagine for myself, and not the example I'd ever imagine passing to the little ones in my family.
I understand when a company wants to be apolitical, but where does it end? Is it too political to stand against a bigot?
No, because you’re just not (I presume) a misogynist and would probably intervene whether your friends were against it or not. Peer disapproval is only important where the intervener isn’t that personally outraged by violence against women. If they know their friends are they’ll intervene despite their own…
I think “less serious mysogninsts” is a really weird way of describing possible grope-stoppers. I am male and I would like to think that I could be deemed a little better than “less serious mysoginst.” Can I ever hope to be deemed a “minimal mysoginist”?
Or maybe not reported because well this:
It’s definitely something that has existed in the past. I had one when I was a little kid, and I thought it was the BEST THING EVER. (Note: I was a little kid in 1976. EVERYTHING had a flag on it.)
Trump will be so good for flags, you won’t believe it.
