It’s possible Johnny and Amber were violent with each other. But I can see how his security would downplay his aggression while exaggerating hers.

I’m sure they both said cruel and taunting things to each other. Couples are never nice to each other when they fight and saying mean things in anger doesn’t make someone a terrible person. Depp seems to have engaged in a lot of fighting in all of his relationships.
I feel embarrassed for the people who use Duke and RS in every single discussion. They think they are so clever but I always think that’s all you’ve got. Just Duke and RS? That’s your evidence that half of rape claims are false? That list would be a helluva lot longer if false rape claims were so rampant.
It seems like people should be harder on Depp since he’s older and should know better.
I’ve thought about this as well. If false allegations were happening fairly often, surely there should be one or two high profile cases each year.
If anything these claims will damage Heard financially because it may make it much harder to find work. She would have left the relationship with a decent amount of money without making abuse claims. If there was no abuse and all she really cared about was money, she would have stuck it out with him for a few more…
I have a relative who’s had a substance abuse problem for about 30 years. He started having violent outbursts only about 3 years ago. He hasn’t hit anyone yet but he flies into rages from time to time. When it happens his wife moves out for a couple of days until he calms down. Only his wife and brother have witnessed…
Didn’t Vanessa and Johnny have a very volatile relationship? I vaguely recall gossip from when they were together about a lot of fighting. But it seems from what Amber claims that he became violent with her when his substance abuse issues worsened. I think he was sober through a lot of his relationship with Vanessa so…
I read somewhere recently that Democrats drive down government spending and debt while Republicans increase them. I wish I remembered where I’d read it so I could link it.
Abusers will abuse. The issue is all the people who allow it to happen. In this case, it’s the judge and Sony. They could stop this but they choose not to.
He also said it was fine for her to release a new single but it was mysteriously pulled from radio last week. He stopped this performance based on a tabloid rumor. Maybe just maybe he didn’t want this performance to happen and he was looking for a reason to stop it.
She should perform You Don’t Own Me by Lesley Gore. Everything I hear it, I think it’s an ideal Kesha cover.
Exactly. It’s often not what you say it’s how you say it. That wording was completely lacking in empathy. It’s not a bad thing when victims want justice to properly heal. They shouldn’t be berated for complaining about how badly they get treated by a fucked up system.
And just to give more background. She reported the rape originally in 2005 and separated from Luke for more than 2 years. Lawyers tried to get her out of her contract. Luke refused to let her go despite claiming she’d made a false rape accusation. In 2008, she returned to him. She had her first hit the next year. In…
Wow, I have you shook obviously. You completely undermined your arguments by resorting to childish name calling and completely misunderstanding everything I said. Calling someone a dumbass. How old are you exactly?
She wants out of the contract because she says he engaged in illegal behaviors against her, such as rape, sexual harassment, verbal abuse, emotional abuse and business abuses. In her lawsuit, it did state that her eating disorder almost killed her and that doctors were surprised she hadn’t died before seeking…
“If you don’t want people snooping through your medical records you shouldn’t sue them for causing physical or psychological harm.”
I’m sure Kesha was told before filing the lawsuit that the other side could get to see her medical records and she went ahead and filed anyway. It’s pretty standard for medical records to be turned over and she seems confident in her case against him. I think her lawyers have strategic reasons for either delaying or…
Based on this, I think it’ll take a lot to get him to back down.
Her cover of Dolly Parton’s #1 hit Old Flames Can’t Hold a Candle to You is one of my favorites (it was co-written by her mom). It was the song I turned to often for comfort when my mother had terminal cancer.
