Your suggestion is appreciated. It has been considered and subsequently rejected. I’ll keep living, off the tears of subhuman tantrum trash like you if I must.
This was not a union
Hey, editors and moderators, can you ban this person? They’re the definition of a troll. Only goes around and insults people. I normally dismiss their comments on my own (yay for censorship!), but I’d rather leave it up now for posterity and proof.
While I did applaud the AV Club for standing with them (and I still do... way to be part of the community, guys) I think it may have had more to do with awards season combined with an iffy-looking Pixar movie coming up. I mean... the reviews for Star Wars could be someone typing “Star Wars” over and over again and…
The JJ solo book wasn’t around for the launch of the show, either. They’ve been slow to capitalize on their TV shows across the line, with the exception of the Defenders, so it was hardly a unique situation with Cage (it took them nearly two years to make an Agents of SHIELD book with the characters from the show, and…
Er, I think you’re making a lot of assumptions there. I’m nothing if not expectant for misogyny to rear its ugly head, and I cheer on those critics with the integrity to call it out when they see it. I just want to know what exactly is misogynistic here, so that in conversation, when I say that I heard the book has a…
That paragraph doesn’t really include any examples, though, just claims. I’m also wondering what it was in the book that led you to that conclusion.
You’re clownin if you’re telling me Hush was a bad story. It may not be one of the greatest but it’s certainly in the top half. The art in Hush out weighs the writing but it’s nowhere near All Star Batman and Robin. Let’s be real.
Damn that is one gorgeous looking Batman comic. Based on purely the artwork, it’ll probably be worth grabbing the inevitable complete trade when he gets slashed in price.
Here’s a better fake punch illustrating what Xbox feels like right now, it’s even color correct.
“Never go to football games.”
Probably overcharging her so that the prosecutor can use it as leverage to force her to drop anything against the police officer.
I know a lot of people will say “she barely grazed him, how is that a felony?” The laying of hands on any public servant is automatically a felony, regardless of intensity/result.
After reading Twitter comments and this review’s negativity, I ended up finding a lot more solid humor than I expected to...and I did think Gardner’s Update bit was the real prize of the episode.
Why are people finding this offensive exactly? Just because the joke is set in a concentration camp?
I’ve started to call it “competitive liberalism” and I feel like it can definitely kill creativity
I don’t get it either. The entertainment media used to be able to hear a joke about an edgy topic and know who it was actually directed at. Now it seems like they’ve gone into “concerned conservative parent” mode where the default stance is “X is very serious, there’s no place for making any jokes about X”.
And, ironically, Louis CK also delivered his famed “molesting children must be amazing” bit during his first SNL monologue:
“The thing is, Larry David knew he was not doing quite well at the midpoint of his monologue.”
