How much do you think All-NBA defensive players are worth?

The $62m figure (which is where I’m guessing you’re getting $16m/year from) includes a $15m renegotiation this year when they weren’t going to use the space anyway. In a couple months it’ll effectively be $47m over 4 years, starting at $10.5m and increasing to $13m by 2021-22. Seems pretty reasonable.

Somewhat related opinion: I think Thom Brennaman is incredibly underrated.

So what you’re saying is this does not qualify.

It’s very bad satire that instead of projecting cleverness, projects stupidity.

The unearthing the undrafted guys like TJ hand Covington are part of the Process.

I could actually see this being the first 0-3 recovery in playoff history, simply because I still cant figure out how Boston is winning these games with no real star scoring option. And no, I don’t count Al Horford as a star scorer.

Without The Process, this undrafted guy never gets a legit chance to play in the NBA. His a D (Im sorry) G-Leaguer who never gets more than a couple minutes of NBA action throughout his whole career.

They had to be bad enough to give him a chance. Small part of the process, was diamond in the rough searching. Drafting and stashing foreign talent overseas. TJ has been fun to watch for a while.

They won 52 fucking games, their last 17, beat the Cavs for 3 seed, and the first round. Moron.

aww are you guys still holding onto that hilariously dumb narrative that the Process didn’t work? or that Hinkie was a fraud?

They actually had 16 points off of turnovers. The Sixers didn’t dominate the Celtics start-to-finish, but they absolutely outplayed them and deserved to win.

Philly has blown so many games, and honestly played like such garbage this series (that’s not to say the Celtics haven’t played good—they have shot the ball well, and Brad Stevens is a decent coach, I guess), that if they had played average basketball at times, they could be leading the series 31- instead of the other

Dude is criminally underrated. He’s been doing all the backend stuff with Simmons and Embiid under the spotlight but this guy can average around 15p-4r-10a-1.5stls as a starter on another team.

But how do you explain his not going after Mitchell who is the one who has been decimating them the entire season, including last night’s capper?

You’re right, I don’t think he was shooting his normal shot, but that’s because someone was about to foul him. I don’t hate that foul at all because Gobert was flying into him, it wasn’t him going straight up and Paul trying to lunge into him for contact, Paul had him landing on top of him and leaned sideways to get a

Those types of stories are almost as frequent and uninteresting as Deadspin complaining about what other sites write about. But I am sure its not the Deadspin writer’s fault, its likely these stories do quite well, and they are probably encouraged to produce similar stories.

This feels like a weird alternate angle on that really long Wizards article you guys posted this morning, just from a less positive POV on stupid coverage habits.

“This web layout is an absolute train wreck”

This article feels forced. Whats wrong with a demonstration of unity? So it shouldve happened sooner and it shouldnt take a dipshit prez to spark unity. But it did. Just like it took tv images of dogs and cops attacking peaceful protesters in the south 50 yrs ago to get comfortable middle class whites to give a damn
