Ha, my watch of X-Files was a lot like your watch of Fringe. I fell off somewhere near the end of Season 5 for whatever reason and only finished 3-4 years later.

I like this resolution and am going to adopt it as well. I probably won’t go full “primarily” but “significantly more” queer media should be doable. I’ve been binging both Buffering the Vampire Slayer and Queery with Cameron Esposito in 2018 and I feel like I’m realizing how out of touch with my queerness I am despite

I’m one of those completionists and I had to quit Red Dead Redemption shortly after I got access to the open world. I knew that if I kept going even another hour I’d be too far in to quit and the end result would likely be my marriage falling apart lol

As someone who read the books over and over in my youth (and The Grim Grotto was one of my favorites), the depiction of The Great Unknown as an organic leviathan was really interesting to me. All these years I assumed it was a submarine of some sort. Upon some googling after watching this episode, it looks like it

It surprised me. I had no idea it would be that revolting...

Nope, he puts the VHS in the VCR.

What I’ve been having to do is go to the notifications drop down menu and then click “see all notifications”. From the “all notifications” page they work fine for me. It’s annoyingly but so far it’s worked

I’ve been having major issues with Kinja for at least a week now so I’m guessing that’s the case.

I already own Book 4 so I’m going to at least go that far and reevaluate if I want to continue, which works out well as I hear Book 4 is where things start to take off. Unless I really grow to love them, I won’t bother with the short stories.

The sameyness was a big problem for me with Book 2. It very much felt like

I have heard that and I already own (audio)book 4 so I’m going to go at least that far and reevaluate. I’m really glad you specified that about Book 2 though because, while I was underwhelmed by Book 1, I too actively disliked Fool Moon. Knowing that a fan of the series feels the same way definitely raises my hopes a

Same. I’m working on book 3 right now and, tbh, not really enjoying the series so far but his narrating is excellent. Definitely one of my favorite narration performances that I’ve come across so far.

I just finished Veronica Mars Season 1 for the first time last night. Overall, really enjoyable season of TV. The culprits in many of the mysteries were pretty obvious as there’s always gonna be some sort of twist but the culprit will always be someone we’ve seen in the episode so, to quote Rowan Kaiser’s review of Wea

Buffering the Vampire Slayer is definitely my number 1 podcast with Queery with Cameron Esposito as runner up.

I really wish I liked Buffering’s spin off show Angel on Top more than I do, as I really love Angel the show but, at 13 episodes in, I’m finally starting to accept that it may not be the growing pains of a new

Hahaha I didn’t even consider that. There are so many reasons Lena should have figured it out by now. I felt quite sure that they would reveal she knew during that series of episodes last season where Lena became openly contemptuous toward Supergirl and that it would be explained that she was so contemptuous because

Re: Ligotti, I definitely feel like I picked a strange place to start. I saw it in a bookstore with one of those personalized recommendations, (“if you like X, you’d love this” though I can’t recall what X was). I had been meaning to read his fiction for a really long time so I just picked it up without even bothering

She felt she was standing in the middle of a crowded room, screaming at the top of her lungs and no one even looked up...until she found Good Burger.

Right now I’m reading The Conspiracy Against the Human Race by Thomas Ligotti. I’ve been meaning to read Ligotti for a long time and I actually purchased it assuming it was one of his works of fiction. From the 50 or so pages I’ve read so far, it has definitely piqued my interest in his fiction. I’m really impressed

Ha, yeah, fair point. They had a bunch of other people on stage beyond the core group so I wasn’t really sure if Campbell was filling in for his guitar or just generally filling the band out more, whereas Finn sang Buckingham’s parts so it was very easy to identify him as a straight up replacement haha

Huh, interesting. It’s the only time I’ve been there as I just happened to be in from out of town when they were playing there.
