This and yesterday’s article are some of the best writing I’ve encountered on the Internet. Whatever you get paid for writing for The Root, it’s not enough.

It seems pretty clear to me that in the course of reporting the Weinstein story - which was presumably first a piece for NBC TV, which by necessity morphed into a print article when it moved to The New Yorker - a second story started to emerge. Oppenheim is effectively calling Farrow’s book “fake news”.

Ronan Farrow has position, power, money, fame, and resources... and he still BARELY got the news of a verifiable monster out to the public.  It’s chilling to consider how many Weinsteins are out there who are not being chased by a journalist in a position to catch them.

It’s amazing that they would rather call this guy a genius killer than recognize that law enforcement messed up time and time again. The term “less dead” is sometimes used because law enforcement doesn’t view crime against women of color, sex workers, drug addicts, as important as other crimes.

HAH! Maybe you can write the world’s shortest horror movie and win an Oscar in the short films category.
