How do you mash potatoes with the skin on? Won’t you just end up with pieces of wet potato skin in the mashed potato?

That does make sense, I’ve noticed that oil-packed tuna picks of the seasoning a lot better. Does that mean I have to drain the tuna really well, or is draining most of the water good enough, and then mixing in some oil and seasoning?

I really like that idea, I’ll give it a shot!

Sounds like a great idea, but I actually have a question about one of the last lines in the article—how does one season canned seafood well? I’ve tried some stuff with canned tuna and it always seems like I have to add way more sodium to make it taste good than I should have to.

If I find a pair of jeans that are comfortable and durable, I have no problem going back and picking up 3-5 extra pairs, given that by the time my original pair gets worn out, the company will probably have changed everything and then I’d have to go out and find another pair I like.

That makes a lot of sense, thanks!

That’s reassuring, because that’s definitely the part that worries me the most, especially when considering traveling around Western Europe, Japana/Korea, etc.

Ah, I see where you mentioned that now. Wow, that’s definitely not as much money as I thought it’d be for that amount of time. Thanks!

How long of a trip did your budget allow you? Definitely on my bucket list but I just never seem to find the time, but a $2500 budget seems pretty reasonable and achievable.

With the Sounders coming off a month of hell, and the Mariners being the Mariners, it’s nice to see an article about one of our good sports summers.

Same with the sushi suggestion. $8 for a giant meal that could be split into two meals if you so chose because they keep like nobody’s business, or one slightly filling but otherwise lacking meal?

“You wouldn’t email if I were an idiot, because you wouldn’t listen to the show. You listen to the show because I make good points.”

It’s why business schools and MBA programs can charge exorbitant amounts of money, after all.

Whatever poor design intern that had to make that image up top still took the time to add in a shadow to beach rocker chick. Incredible dedication.
