Remember I complained about having been sick for my entire short-ish holiday last week? Well, I'm still unwell, in an annoyingly undefined queasy-and-painful sort of way. I've got to say, after two weeks the novelty's wearing awfully thin. Not to mention all the work I'm struggling to do because my brain is a ball of

I went on a short break and managed to be first sleep-deprived, then migrainous for three days, and to cap it off there was a day of explosive diarrhoea.

They're not showing John Wick 2 at my local fleapit. FTS.

For what it's worth, I would absolutely lose my shit if someone went into my room when I wasn't there, never mind switching out furniture and touching all my stuff. But then I'm a bit odd, so I don't know how much of a comfort that should be to you.

Make sure you include "filling out spreadsheet" as an item in your spreadsheet documenting how busy you are.

Finished The Orenda by Joseph Boyden. It was pretty good, certainly held my attention, but the characters felt a little flat and only there to serve a sort of generalised history of white/First Nations interaction and conflict. While the plot got more exciting towards the end, the generic-ness and

networking is pretty much my worst skillset

Ah, I think I just got to the part where it gets more exciting…

I finally started The Orenda by Joseph Boyden, which has been sitting on my to-read pile for years. About halfway through, it's good, well written and all that, but the three main characters feel very flat to me; their voices aren't very different from each other, and I don't particularly care about any of them.

I hadn't heard this story, so set out in search of this seminal response from your government. Google sent me here: https://petitions.whitehous… where I am sadly greeted by a blank page. Clearly there is nothing good that Trump and his minions will not destroy.

Did it seem to anyone else that they were overdoing the greenscreen a bit? I mean, I understand that 19th century London street scenes are going to require some trickery, but some of the interiors also looked just a touch too unreal for my suspension of disbelief.

The dog showing up would've been my pick for Tom Hardy-est moment.

I'm not sure it's possible to blackmail someone as utterly shameless as Trump.

The very best of luck with it!

I love that first shot of the river with the light/shadow.

I don't know much about MacBooks, but if it's not the internal hard drive itself that has died, maybe you can take it out, put it in a caddy and rescue the data?

I feel you. My mum once had a gift she'd sent me returned by the post office, and immediately assumed that I just hadn't bothered to go pick it up (rather than that the post office had failed to notify me that it was there, which is what happened). So frustrating. Especially in the less clear-cut cases where you find

Congratulations!

Yes, absolutely.
