Because they're listening.
Because they're listening.
I'm just always glad when Dig gets something to do other than tell Oliver what an arse he's being. Not that that's not a necessary function, but still.
This is an appropriate response. I shall be requesting your company next time I go to a bookshop. Just in case.
Seriously, Dude, Don't Touch It
"This is an amazing prize, and I am honoured and humbled. But I am not worthy. Instead, I would like to present it to Ice Cream Planet, who has done wonderful things for our community (of weirdos). NOWGETITAWAYFROMMEAAAAAH."
I'm loath to give up on it, as I like the language now I've got into it, it's not in any way awful, and I don't hate it; I'm just… so… bored. Maybe Vidal just isn't for me.
"Fuck Disqus" is a universal truth.
Congratulations! I have so much respect for people kicking an addiction.
*narrows eyes*
I'm not sure I'd go near something called This Book is Full of Spiders. The title is quite scary enough for me.
I'm still reading Burr by Gore Vidal, but honestly, I'm halfway through and this close to giving up on it.
I seem to mostly lack the 'shipping instinct, but the moment I saw White Canary and Captain Cold together, it became my fervent wish that Legends of Tomorrow should ditch everyone else and just consist of those two trundling through time having mad adventures and flirting with each other forevermore.
Excellent advice, thank you, especially the part about the "good enough job", which is not my strong suit. I followed it as best I could - I don't really like coffee, which means that I don't have any in the house, even for emergencies like this. But after staring into the middle distance a while longer and ruminating…
So I went to bed at an even stupider hour than I usually do, and that's entirely my fault. But the part where I then couldn't sleep, now feel like a zombie and have no idea how I'm going to focus enough to finish the work I need to do today? Fuck that. Fuck that right in the ear.
Still reading Burr by Gore Vidal. To be honest, I'm not loving it - I don't really like the writing style, I still can't figure out what story it's trying to tell (as in, why it starts where it starts, and why it's structured the way it's structured), and it feels like it's maybe aimed at people who know more about…
I liked it a lot, though I can see how one might not, depending on one's tastes.
Oh god. We read that in school. In the original ancient Greek. I remember nothing about it except endless hours spent dissecting the grammar.
That's the thing, isn't it? This is a comic book show, the explanation doesn't have to stand up to scientific scrutiny or even make a whole lot of sense. They just have to acknowledge the plot hole, stick a band-aid on it and move on.
Uh… magic and handwaving?
So, uh, should Team Arrow have maybe asked John Constantine to fix Thea’s soul as well when he had the chance?
