They have the option of buying it back, but it’s still considered a total loss.…

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say it doesn’t look that great on the new GT. The 2006 Heritage Edition definitely pulled it off better imo. 

It's a 7 figure car in normal condition. Even after repairs it will be worth more than the amount paid to buy and restore it. 

This is an excellent idea. Car people like us have suffered long enough because of people who just want an appliance to go from point A to point B. Why not let those people bring us cool car prosperity for a change?

The main thing here is that both drivers are ok. That being said, that was one big crash for the commentator to be that low key about it.
