Lauren Cohan is a really bad actor. REALLY bad.

Maybe I like Cohan, and her character, enough to not notice any bad acting,

I pretty entirely think people are missing the thing the show is trying to say, especially in the context of the last episode. Gonna try and explain my perspective.

I completely disagree with your assessment of this episode. It didn’t drag and wasn’t weighed down, Nell finally saved her siblings, which she had been trying to do this entire series. There were happy endings, something uncommon in this genre. The end had me in tears, and after sitting through so much “scary” and

Person, who knows other person personally, believes the person who she knows personally, while another person, who doesn’t know any of these persons personally, says he knows all of them better and they are all lying.

It was special, though, because it was his sixty-five thousandth appearance as Musical Guest.

The family arguments teetered on overwrought at times but, all in all, I thought this was a fantastic hour of television. I really appreciated how malleable time was, how it flowed and lingered on particular moments, and how well it showed how everyones’ past traumas informed who they are today. The final shot, Nell’s

Thirsty Cops was one of the best sketches of the season so far. Not sure what about it got the reviewer’s panties in a bunch.

Plus, time seems to have raised “Bridge” up and out of Simon’s once sweetly-stunning vocal range, so here’s to trying new stuff.”

The long takes were only broken in three places. First two times to signify the jump into the second and third acts of the story, then the third time was to lead into the resolution of the episode.

I’d figured Nell for the Bent-Neck Lady a few episodes ago but jeeeeeez that end sequence was effective.

I am not as down on this show as the reviewer is, I actually think it is very well done. It is terror meets family drama. All the family has been forever affected by what happened to them and as a multipart series the scares actually are dolled out pretty well. The thing this series does well and what a horror movie

I wish I could delete all of your “Recaps”

It’s pretty clear to me that she never had sleep paralysis at all. What they’re showing *isn’t* sleep paralysis, and isn’t supposed to be.

For me, the real star of the show is the creeping dread that is building every step of the way, in both time frames. It's done just masterfully. Also, maybe I misunderstood, but I thought Mr. Dudley's story was about his mother being scattered, not his wife. The house's effect on his wife had to do with her

Luke doesn’t tell Nell about the derby man because she’s sleeping on the couch in another room. This is presumably the same night we saw earlier when the Bent Neck Lady or possibly Olivia was hovering over her.

Reviews about what the show isn’t are a waste of everyone’s time.

And considering every recap reiterates the reviewer’s umbrage at the lack of fidelity to Shirley Jackson’s original work, they’d certainly be regretting any such promotion by now.

I think that the reviews are coming off harsher than maybe intended given the B ratings.  The complaint about departures from the source material is valid, and to be fair, you are mentioning the good qualities, but the consensus from the comments seems to be that these are negative.  I’m watching right now.  I’d call
