Three seconds is a fucking huge difference on a ~1:50 course. The FR-S is probably three seconds off of the GT on that circuit.

I think this is a driver issue. These guys aren't pros and 707 is a lot of power. I'd like to see what Pobst could do with one.

3618lb for the 2014 GT, 3729lb for the 2015.

It's not like vehicles are branded with "Airbags by Takata." In two years, most consumers will go back to forgetting they exists and manufactures won't care as long as they offer the lowest priced good.

Once oil prices go back up, fracking will become profitable again. They can also fall back on natural gas to make up any short-term oil cost deficits.

Yeah, I guess they can say 'so long' to their high employment.

There isn't a used car out there one could spend $400-$500 a month, every month, for five or six or seven years in order to maintain it.

Certainly not, but their normal vehicles were all crap compared to Honda's offerings.

Mitsu was a joke in the 90s too. They offer a few cool enthusiast cars, that were mixed in with a sea of shit. They've always been the Dodge of Japan.

It's too bad they never produced a GTI from 1997 until 2004.

Every competitor since has mimicked the same formula, there aren't many vehicles that can make that claim.

Damn this comment makes me feel old.

I made this mistake too. Bought an broken megasquirt Miata for $2000, put new tires, coil packs, fuel system and rewired the ECU. I dumped probably $1200 bucks into it along with probably 100 hours of work. It ended up dying randomly one day and I couldn't fix it, so I offloaded it for $1400.

I'm surprised to hear that you didn't turbo the P5. The parts are readily available and the installation is pretty straight forward.

do NOT let any Chrysler Americanness find it's way into the engine bay,

I donno man, the 2000GT looks more like a Ferrari then the Jag. The Fairlady was the Japanese E-Type.

The thing about the Mustang is that every car enthusiast already knows about it. It's one of the most iconic cars ever made.

The iZX4 M. Take a Z4, jack it up 6 inches to accommodate 22" wheels, give it two more seats & doors, but keep the rack in the back step enough to ensure that the back seats aren't actually usable. Shove a 4.4L TT V8 powering the back wheels with the fronts powered by the drivetrain from the i8.

The V6TT is ~420lbs v. the LT1's 460.

Historically, Volvo has always sold itself as a "safety first" brand. I think a lot of that went away as cars became safer, but they are still working to stay one-step ahead of everybody else.
