Yes they do. The IIHS is a non-profit paid for by insurance companies, they are not a government regulator. Their job is to analyze traffic crashes and determine where there are gaps in test coverage. Then they design and implement tests for such scenarios for the benefit of everybody.

If you want safe cars, then you need to test them in the most extreme conditions. Car manufactures won't have an incentive to build safe cars unless you provide the general public with objective figures showing exactly how safe the cars that they are buying are.

It's pretty new, it was introduced within the last three or so years. The first year of it, every car did poorly. Some companies were pretty upset about this and quickly went over their lineup and made the changes necessary to perform well in this case. Apparently Nissan is not one of those companies.

You want an Impreza wagon.

> It's also one of the most reliable German late model cars available

You really can't use HP ratings from before 1970s to today.

> Obama couldn't get big things done when the Democrats controlled congress.

I have a really hard time believing you about having bald summer tires. I've driving a WRX on summer tires in the snow. It's impossible to stop going downhill in any sort of snow, no matter how slight the incline. Maybe it doesn't snow much where you live and every road is flat, wide, and straight.

Which is the way it should be. If you want to join a union you should be able to. If you don't want to, you shouldn't have to.

So, how fast is this? That's a lot of power in a car the size of a Mustang, but when you put an extra 2000lbs and horrible aero on a vehicle, that kind of power isn't very impressive. Power to weight wise, it's slightly better than a V6 Mustang with around 10lb/hp compared to the 'Stang's 11.5 (8.6 for the GT).

I feel like that's something these people fail to realize. When you take a person's life, you still have to deal with the justice system. That could be as simple as a police report, but it could also end with your ass in jail. I'd rather be robbed than go to trial and possibly be put in jail.

That makes sense, I thought they looked like some sort of carburetor, which didn't make sense given the age of the engine.

What the hell are those metal arms?

That was a T/A with (essentially) the engine from the GNX in it. It was much more powerful than the V8s of the era.

They've not released exactly what all the parts will be, but it includes at least rear subframe bracing, beefed up half-shafts and some safety loops for the half- and drive-shafts.

Ford is already testing a suspension kit for drag racing.

The TT is the most under-appreciated car you can get. With only 265HP, the TT-S variant is faster than the C6 Corvette around VIR, yet ignorant "enthusiasts" slam the car as being slow.

No, the TT-RS has the turbo five. The TT-S is the 265 HP 2.0L variant.

Bullshit. Go look up the TT-S in the C&D Lightning Lap. It's the faster than the C6 Z51 Corvette, the M6, Elise, 5.0 Mustang, Cayman S and a ton of other fast cars.

Hairdressers must make a shit-ton of money in Europe. I don't know many in the US that could afford a $50k car.
