And this brings me to my point today, which is: hybrid luxury cars need to go away.

You can get it from your car insurance company for significantly less money. To add GAP to my insurance policy amounts to $32/yr, as opposed to the $250-500 the dealers will charge. Also, you only really need to keep the insurance for the first two years, since you should no longer have any negative equity at at

They firmed up the front suspension in 2009. If you drive them back to back, you'll notice the pre-09s have more suspension dive and understeer, but feel more planted while the post-09 is flatter through the corners, but the rear end doesn't feel as planted.

They're okay stock post-2008. Before that though, they had awful tires, floaty suspension, and massive turbo lag. They are so incredible with some mods, they are pretty lackluster without them though.

How did the WRX not make the list? There's a reason a bone stock car is nearly impossible to find.

These things were awesome stock.

A tune and exhaust really open up the old EJ. It shifts the torque curve left by 1500 RPMs and up by a good 60%.

Congratulations on getting old...

Yes. They would have charged him with a noise violation.

Actually, a lot of towns word their rules such to make it illegal to do even on private property. Look up vehicle noise ordinances in your area, I'm willing to bet they have language the includes tire noise generated on private property.

There are lots of ways that cops can ticket you for accelerating, and many of them are worded in such a way that to be broadly applicable. Reckless driving, unnecessary acceleration, unnecessary vehicle noise (for when you are on private property), etc. The best part is when they don't require objective

He means that you get a bit of a build-up, then a BANG!

The TT-RS was MT only. So there's hope.

VAG has always avoided going with large power figures in their car. Hell, their 2.0L turbos were largely ~220HP for a long time.

Swap it. I'm sure somebody online would be more than willing to pay a few hundred for a hood swap.

I wouldn't call the Pirellis crap. They are a very good performance street tire. They aren't too loud, are pretty good in the rain, and still offer great grip.

They are 19 inch Pirelli PZero 255 front and 275 rear. The 1LE has 20 inch Goodyear Eagle Supercar G:2 285 all around. I'd like to see a comparison with them both wearing the same tire, but I feel like that wouldn't be enough to close the gap.

The Cobra-R was a very limited-edition (~300 made) car that required an SCCA license to purchase.

>The Camaro 1LE is quite literally a handling package meant to spark an approval from the SCCA in the Touring Class,

Oh man, I'm so surprised that this purpose-built, stripped out, special track edition that costs 3.5x the base model is really fast.
