But at the exact same time that they were “up ending the current dealer structure” they were paying their sales folks EXACTLY like the current dealer structure and then having them actively eliminate their position by duping them. Fuck this company so much.

Yeah your second paragraph is basically my point. I realize you can find the actual price of the car, but the savings assumptions made (I can’t even find on their website where you came up with 6 years, 21 mpg, or anything else, like hello, the price of gas itself) are obviously biased. Just like I’m sure they are

I was on their site and didn’t even realize that, I did see some number that was unrealistic and just ignored it, maybe that was that number? How can they even get away with that from a legal standpoint?

I hate how they include “gas savings” into the purchase price too. An operational savings shouldn’t be shown as affecting the purchase price. But at least be honest about your criticism, Tesla does post the actual price; it’s just obscured and only shown in the lower left hand corner, not plastered everywhere else

In Soviet Russia, labor organizes you!

Next week we’ll get paid in Tesla credits! We can spend them at the Tesla store!

Even the youngest comrades must contribute.

Holy crap, Tesla is just running a 19th century plutocratic industrialist’s dream wrapped up inside a 21st-century facade. It’s all very clear to me now.

What in the hell is suppose to be so wrong on the new Chevy truck? It’s like someone started a campaign to bash the new truck. Maybe Ford lovers started this, because they are afraid the new Chevy will turn out to be a better truck. I find this hoop hula a bit childless. Grow up people!!!!

Your finding excuses for his behavior is not very convincing. Not having a problem getting cash in a crunch is a bit naive.

Genius he’s not. BS’er he is.

I think Elon wants to make you think Tesla is out of the woods, but they are not. I’ll stick with a company that I know will be in business ten years from now.

Hey.. you have to be at least a little or a lot crazy to start a new car company in the USA *and* put falcon wing doors on a production SUV.

To me its more of a fun reminder of how dumb investors can be that the company’s stock was still worth so much despite the company being so close to the edge.

Yeah he seems to just be building mythology at this point. The big, smart investors didn’t panic, so I don’t really buy it. With today’s standardized accounting, it’s not possible for a public company to be playing down impending doom unless you’re distributing fraudulent information.

I love Tesla, but at this point, I’m much more apt to believe that Musk is saying whatever it takes make him look like a hero, rather than believe his words outright.

Elon Musk is nothing but a con-man. He runs his company on hype and lies. Now the public is gradually coming to that realization. I like the idea of a new high tech American car company, but run the company on integrity.

“all I see lately is pissy hit pieces on Elon”

You still have to call the bank to get the loan

So, there’s no latch on the door, just the striker.

That means the cable has to be body-mounted unless they went to a more traditional latch/striker setup (in which the latch is on the door).
