Very good thrust to weight ratio, maneuverability and above all fairly cheap. However, pilot skill and operational ability are another issue IMO.

During the 2 1/2 years I was privileged to work at an MB facility, I was mystified at how easy it was to disable a vehicle's functionality just by an incomplete software update. I cant go into specifics, but when modern technology goes haywire, it turns from sad and expensive to simply comical.

Every time this topic comes up, I view a consistent pattern of: "Oh, this sounds bad and I don't really understand why we have this plane, so we should get rid of it...because its not flawless" and "We don't need it anyways, we're already too good (the best)".
Sure, the Carrera 2S was 3 seconds slower... but that's inspiring to me, considering this Porsche was not the yet-to-be-seen 991 Turbo.
