I still want a first another gen Trooper- but as a project off-roader. I liked the Trooper's no non-sense interior and friendly driving dynamics. They're pretty capable too, however the super anemic 2.6 4 cyl really sucked, especially after the first headgasket. If I could do it again, I'd go diesel power.

I know the ISB is a tried and true engine in its various forms. Also shared with the Dodge Ram 3/4 and 1 ton lineup. You're right about the FS-65 engine choices too. I believe Cat, MB and Cummins were options.
