Yeah, that’s about right. Aborigine is kind of like “Negro” or “coloured” in that it’s dated and anyone who still uses it is probably racist, but it was the accepted term once. I don’t know a single Black fella (that’s another term!) who calls themselves “Aborigine”.

She’s involved Aboriginal people in her art before and it was Romantic Primitivism. She had an important Aboriginal artist (not that you would know from her art) in traditional dress sitting opposite a Tibetan in traditional dress. That was it, she may as well have set them in aspic.

Like, the whole character and storyline felt racist to me, the acting was probably the worst in the film, and there was a huge flaw in the script which meant that she really should have ended up destroying the whole world. Made no sense.

Everything about Enchantress was a weak link in a film filmed with weak links.
