oh, Australia. I love you, but i hate you.

I understand politics fine. I’ve already said on another thread that I actually want her to stay. It’s still worth saying that the lesser of two evils is still evil. Are you so caught up in compromise and politicking that you take offense to characterisation of her stated position on Rohingyas as “disgusting”?

Or, you know, it could be that

I didn’t negate all her achievements, I mentioned her silence on what the United nations has called the most persecuted minority in the world. That she “didn’t say the right thing about the Rohingya” is a big deal, comsidering how much influence, and now power, she has.

Yeah, it was. She is the face of progress and she’s certainly a lot better than the military leaders, so I actually hope she becomes president, I just don’t want her bad traits glossed over.

I think condemning genocide is a pretty low bar to jump. I’m pretty happy with not accepting people that don’t meet that one thing.

In myanmar? the Buddhist monks, obviously.

Both names are politically loaded and she didn’t spell Rangoon incorrectly. She is using the official name which is closer to the way it is pronounced.

Her silence on the persecution of the Rohingya Muslims is disgusting.

Or Madonna in Shanghai Surprise #neverforget.

I actually agree with you, I don’t support the horse racing industry and this story is a good lesson in the difference between equality and liberation BUT I enjoyed it anyway, even though I would never support horse racing.

It was such a great moment in Aussie sport when Prince of Penzance won. Michelle Payne, the youngest of ten, whose mother died in a car crash when she was young, beat the odds to become the first female jockey to win the Melbourne cup and using her speech to call out the “chauvinists” in the sport and telling them to

I’m going pretty great. It’s been so long. I’m just busy, i guess. I’ve got uni study, work, family drama... such is life. Hope you’re looking after yourself with all the work you’re doing.

boo

Reminds me of pc music. Sure, she’s a posh, well connected model/blogger but it was catchy and funny in a self parody kind of way. Thing is, I always overestimate how self aware these people are.

“ off their seventh and final album The Woods.” ???

Now I have that John Wayne Gacey song stuck in my head. It’s really good but.. unsettling.

Uber can get fucked. Looks like it’s not just their employees that they exploit. Stressing out kittens not below Uber.

Porn is work, paying for work isn’t the craziest notion ever put forward.
