I was thinking of Trumps policy of increasing tax on the rich and attacks against the Republican/wallstreet establishment. Trumps views are far from Le Pens but his rhetoric has the same effect of mobilizing working class conservatives.

Trump is much more like the far right in Europe than most Republicans. Nationalist and, if not socialist, less neoliberal and sometimes even protectionist,This kind of politics could become powerful in an America that has poor white people that feel disenfranchised.
