Static Airways?
I went to training several years ago for a massive machine made by a German company whose name I shan’t mention. The instructor showed this video to start our class one day.
I’m going to check my barn again just one more time....that is my dream car, ya know.
Nice Joan Claybrook speedo!
Now I’m reminded of this.. check out starting at about 1:05
James May - is that you?
Kenichi Yamamoto - my hero. I have always wanted an RX-7 but so far it just hasn’t been in the cards. After having an RX-2 (which caused some stir in its time) that rotary engine is just so unique and I got to deal with Racing Beat when they would respond to your questions with hand-written letters. Can you believe my…
Here’s a naming suggestion: TERCEL
A vehicle powering your home is a quantum leap from a Mustang landing on your roof.
Wow. Beautiful. I am actually old enough to remember (barely) flying from Minneapolis to Seattle in a propeller plane (had to be a DC something or other) to see my Aunt Dolores. I’m sure the flight couldn’t have been nonstop. Also have an old newspaper article and picture of my Mom flying a DC-3. I have been aboard a…
That is #1
So what color scheme denotes a passive lifestyle? What the heck is a “lifestyle”, anyway? Sounds expensive, whatever it is.
My favorite GA 400 story is going 65 in the right lane and a lady in the left lane in a Lumina passed me....going backwards. It was after her contact with the bumper of a Ford van during a miscalculated lane change and over-correction on her part. She was OK - slid off into the median instead of into me - could’ve…
Yeah I ended up getting a 5spd - but it was an option. 4-spd was standard - I test drove one - ratios very widely spaced and didn’t play well with the 4cyl. Nice to know the wagons apparently had “handling” of some sort - the coupe did not fer sure
I had a 94 SL2, only because my 91 Scottsdale was stolen and stripped, then 2 days later my grandma passed away and I needed transportation from GA to MN in a hurry. That little shitbox saved my life two years later when I was at a dead stop in rush hour traffic on GA 400 and got rear-ended by a White Freightliner
I had a friend who had a ‘76 RD350 and he used to let me borrow it. Very rapid - but let it idle at too many stoplights and it would carbon up. Six speed trans was a relative novelty back then.
Concur with your assessment, but as a fan of appalling shitty FWD econoboxes, what would you recommend?
I’m afraid not. Referring to those wheels in the same sentence with “geometry” is mighty kind of you.
Both. If it didn’t come from the factory that way, the dealer would add it on no cost.
