In case this is news to you, misusing a BB gun can easily result in serious, possibly perminant injury or death. That plus it was effectively indistinguishable from a real gun. No it’s not a reality. Study after study has shown cops, especially white cops, use a lot more restraint when using deadly force. We only hear about black people being shot by cops because the media knows how to rile people up. When was the last time Gawker ( I know I know) covered a police shooting of a white person?

Because more often than not the description is “black male”. And we don’t know what happened in that car. If you do, then you might want to go to Minnesotta and tell them.

Running from the cops and pulling a gun on them isn’t exactly the actions stopping someone who didn’t commit the robbery would do. Totality of the circumstances point to him doing this.

Or he committed a robbery or at the very least was an accomplice in said robbery, when approached by the cops he ran from them and then pulled a very realistic gun with a laser sight on it. But yeah, it’s because he was black.

BB guns aren’t toys, and they can actually kill:

He fit the description from the victim and he and another one of his friends ran. He was in possession of a gun and attempted to pull said gun on the cops when they had him in the alley way. It’s not like the police said “hey look a black kid. Let’s chase him and shoot him”

Reports are that they were using it to rob people, so they probably removed the orange tip specifically to make it look more real.

And that means what exactly? A. He was 13 and thus not legally allowed to carry a gun. B. He pulled it on the fucking cops. But please act like your comment is some kind of smug, know it all retort to reality and facts.

To be fair, if the police’s account is true, he was 13 (not 5) and should know better than to pull a toy gun (that looks exactly like a real gun) on the police.

Which matters how? Pointing a gun at an officer is still grounds for that officer to use self-defense.
