It is a clear fake for so many reasons. The first being Niantic wouldn’t do that. Not only due to the negative press they’d receive but they big events planned that would earn them shit tons if money.

Honestly these days it was one the few things that actually made me want to go outside nightly. Even if it was just for 30 minutes or so to chase a few Pokemon. I’d even take my break at work if a rare Pokemon showed up because we are flexible like that.

I saw this coming the moment websites such as Kotaku and Youtubers spoke of the interviews they had with Niantic. The company that during the interview was obsessed with its vision of the game and seemed like it cared little about fixing it.

Been talking about and requesting customer stinking service since after the first few days I was finally able to download the game. Something Niantic is refusing to do for the sake of its vision for the game.
