The Minsky Robot and Mac Cop episode was my favorite of S3, especially because of the Wyh story. It broke my heart in so many places, and it dealt with some futility themes that later became a stamp of the season.

S3 was always, I dunno, there. After Ray's death I thought things were going to get a little thrust and yet everything remained the same passive tone, even wasting the chance of having Mr. Wrench there kicking a whole lotta ass.
