@Asraiil: its baked in to the messages app / adds a messages app on the ipad/ipod. it just detects when you're trying to message someone using iOS 5 and uses this instead apparently

@CaptainJack: what about everyone in the rest of the world who aren't allowed on google voice, and also have limited text plans...

@hvrock13: its free, completely seamless and will come on every ios device and be added on to everyone running a 3GS or higher.

even at 17 99.9% of people are mature enough to realize that this is a terrible idea.

you really don't see the point of a presidential candidate, in 2012, having a CTO?

i remember when the music industry 'shrugged their shoulders' at the internet. worked out great for them!

@kdupree: because you're powering something that is effectively a computer at this point. they are pushing it to the limit these days because they can and people will still put up with charging it every day.

i've had about 6 cell phones over the past 10 years and never dropped or damaged any of them...

the screen and glass on the current iphones are one assembly anyway, so this is already the case.

this would be hilarious, but i feel like its a great way to get yourself put on a terrorist watch list.

i don't think i really feel safe about letting an app from an insurance company tell me how poorly i drive. remember when we were told our iphones weren't being used to track where we were...

just because he's an IT consultant doesn't mean that he's better than every hacker in the free world that is probably targeting him for fun right now.

now i don't feel so bad about pirating the tomtom app.

meh, i only ever update mine for full point updates. if this was 4.4 and actually had some useful features then i would... 4.3.1 is good enough for now.

yeah but aren't these consoles supposed to continue being used for another 4 years or so? i mean, they just released the kinect and move, i doubt they will be abandoning those for new machines any time soon.

i went to nintendo.com and looked for info about mario

my friends wouldn't leave me alone about it once i told them you could pirate the apps

every single one of my friends is jailbroken (about 25 of them)... this is partly because i told them about it, but once you have it you won't give it up.

at least you can steal the apps once you're jailbroken ;)
