Not a bad idea, but I wouldn’t want to be the one to troubleshoot that burnt out VW wiring harness. Shudder

I’m over it, but I like to share the photos when there are relevant posts.
Having been in a position to watch my car go up in flames, I’ve come to the conclusion that it does happen more often than people realize. The combination of high temperatures, 1000s of parts and a wide variety of maintenance levels means that we generally take a car’s reliability for granted.
Monthly cost, so what about the 5 months of the year where there are no races?
Hopefully that means he was OK! Smart takes safety seriously, check out this clip of Fifth Gear crashing one way back.
I saw the show taped live once and it was as funny then as it is on TV. Wikipedia says Steve Smith earned an engineering degree from Waterloo, so this is all starting to make sense...
I think they need to change ratio of aero grip vs mechanical grip. When a car 2 seconds slower per lap because they followed another car too closely for 3 turns, that’s kind of a problem.
I made it to that museum during a trip to Washington and spent more time there than anywhere else (maybe the other location on the Mall). It’s just amazing to see those actual planes in person.
Same thing for me at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (engineering). That kind of place is intimidating.
Those BMW 2 series just look so, so right in race trim.
Will the episodes air as-it-happens or do we have to wait for the entire season to finish before we get to watch?
My dream is that one day I will have the money and space to buy a fun car every 1-2 years, just to experience it. The E60 M5 is on the list, but I fear that if/when I’m able to do it, the good ones will be all gone.
In stick? I like the way you think.
So when I’m in the market again for a replacement of my current Golf, what else should I test against? So far my list is as follows:
Yeah I was a Drive+ subscriber for a while too, and I didn’t really realize how much I had given them when it went dark for a while. I think MT seems to be on more solid footing so I don’t mind contributing.
I started a paid MT subscription because I’ve watched a lot of their videos and want to support all of them doing more fun stuff.
The coolest guy in this program is Ben, a Google exec from way back who has a super awesome car collection. Him and his wife post great photos about the events on Instagram.
I kind of want to drive one of these to do the same test: how bad can the fuel economy get? I would probably do a back road loop with lots of fun corners and a section of highway driving and it likely wouldn’t go any lower than 48 mpg (4.9 L/100km)
I want one of the of Evora 400s. Will look great inside my future garage next to my future 911 GT3.
Man my Golf really needs a 6th gear because at 130 km/h I hit just over 3k. I don’t think it sounds like sewing machine, though, it’s more like a quiet hum.
