Should have used a FuelShark!

That’s called selling a Jalop vehicle right. The 1M is so collectible that if you’re reasonable on the price (which it sounds like you were), you just need to wait for that specific person, who hopefully treats it with the respect you did.

Saw this thing race a plane at Oshkosh a few years ago. It’s hard to describe the thump in your chest when the flame lights up, and when the brakes go off, man does it fly (not literally).

For these sort of lapping sessions, what sort of noise restrictions do the tracks normally have? The last lapping day I went to had a restriction of (I think) 93dB and this sounds like it is probably above that at full chat.

If there isn’t a dog, there’s always doge.

Most of us are probably interested in more detailed engine/system parameters that are currently available with BT OBD2 dongles and apps like Torque and Dashcommand, so I really hope that CarPlay and Android Auto open up to allow 3rd party access on a restricted level. That could mean getting GT-R style gauges for

Other manufacturers have done this before, like VW, who offered the Mk4 Jetta and Golf rebadged in Canada as the City Golf/Jetta. They offer them at higher discounts with subtle body work tweaks and still make bank because the tooling has all been paid off.

Just wait for the photos to hit TireRack so we can spec some 15” tires on it

As mentioned it depends on power/weight but for a compact car, I’d say 170 hp with the right transmission is perfectly adequate. It’s no coincidence this is the power of a 2.5L Golf, which I daily drive. Obviously in traffic it’s more than enough, and while it would be nice to have more torque during the few track

At least it doesn’t cause an accidental trip back in time.

So Doug after learning all of that, is there anything you can do the truck, hardware wise, to make it semi respectable? Is there an engine large enough to provide sufficient motivation or is there just too much mass?

Sojourn. Columbia

I hear some much about DMV stories, but has anyone ever studied or figured out what exactly makes the process for painful? In Ontario we certainly have to wait to get things like renewals and plate stickers but generally if you have the right paperwork, things go pretty smoothly. Perhaps it’s the massive number of

Whey they say “functionality coming later”, are they implying the core infotainment system gets an upgrade? If you buy a car early in the year, are you stuck with CarPlay only?

You kind of can’t get one without the other...

Matt posted about this on Oppo last night with more photos. Doing this kind of stuff is what FSAE enables!

Live in Ottawa and go to Toronto often. Yeah, 94 is the highest I see and apparently that translates to 98 or 99 octane in Europe.

Apparently North American octane ratings differ from Europe, so while the absolute number is different, NA fuel has a higher octane level (our 93 is like the 98 Europe gets). All that to say that if we can get this magic fuel in Canada, I’m all for it! (once I get my GTI)

Now when this claim gets to the insurance agent, do you think they’ll find this video and reconsider their coverage?
