I think this is the right path for something as completely new as the Tweel (forgetting that it's been in development for a decade). Commercial users will put far more stress on the design and find problems quicker. Plus until you can customize the rims (low-pro Tweel!), I doubt the passenger market will be interested.

I'm not John. I think when I asked about the R last time, someone had already put a deposit down haha

Are Raptors in full service now or are there still "pilot survival" issues?

No! Bytek's Golf R / R400 is mine!

Andrew I'm assuming you've done wheeling with auto and manual transmissions, do you have a preference? I know someday I want to get a utility vehicle and for uphill crawling it feels like left foot braking would make things easier.

What kind of dozer? Mechanical engineers need to know!

This is always the interesting game when we'd cross the border and fly out of Buffalo for winter vacations. How deep will the car be buried when we return?

This car is not for me for many reasons but I applaud Toyota for taking such a step toward what is so clearly our transportation future. Every bit of technology has to start somewhere!

The slo-mo shot of the Herc, bike and Subie together is probably my favourite on all of Top Gear.

Honestly this is what terrifies me most about driving a lot. I feel that my car is nimble enough and I pay attention closely enough that I may be able to minimize damage with active avoidance but there is almost nothing you can do when something falls of a vehicle or bounces up from the road.

I want to watch, but that camera angle above is useless. We need real racing!

If you were going to restore it to even better condition, what would you do?

Appearance wise, at least. I've never driven it but from the success it's had so far, it sounds like it's balanced on the road, too.

Maybe. I think as the series has evolved, the teams have been constantly trying to find the optimum blend of size and maneuverability so the Polo comes pretty close to the ideal.

I was trying to think of a way to articulate it in my comment but ran out of ideas. I think it's because it looks like it means business and well balanced. Plus I'm a VW fan and this car has been dominating.

Man, I love that Polo R WRC

What was going on with the driver side door while you were talking about going to dinner? It looked like the door was open and flapping.

Would you say this beats the European delivery option, given that it includes track time and instruction?

Where do all of these Ford GT transmissions come from? Have that many crashed that there is a stockpile left over or are they still being manufactured and "from a Ford GT" means "made from the Ford GT specs"?

Wow, that frame bent like a Raptor
