Generally speaking, if one of the sensors of data sources used by the INS begins to deviate from the majority of the sources, or from a more heavily weighted source as computed in the software's 'voting' algorithms, then less weight will be given to the deviating source.

I'm pretty sure you missed my point... I was trying to say that it looks rather suspicious if you drop $1m on a vehicle, but in the event of total loss you get $2.2m paid out.

How do you actually get a car insured for more than its value? I've seen it before, but considering insurance companies are famous for not giving handouts, it seems unusual that you can insure a car for 2.2x its purchase price ($2.2m is still more than replacement cost)

Maybe it's been done, but it would be pretty interesting to see an infographic about what else puts out 860+ lb/ft of torque. Locomotive? Mining shovel? Hoover dam generator turbine?!

Just how easy is it to rollback an LCD odometer? Presumably it's not a simple OBD2 query

I'm guessing they will keep the geographic distribution details a secret during the next earnings call?

What's the military's position on attaching cameras to fighter planes? Based on the number of GoPro videos available, it looks like it's pretty open, at least for training.

Can you leave the recorder running as a permanent dashcam?

Ok Doug, that brings up an interesting question: are there any new cars on sale today that you would keep forever?

I think Golf/GTI owners are a little more in tune with what's available in the pipeline and there were basically no new Golfs available between January and July. Thanks to the timing, I have to drive my 2010 Golf for a few years before getting a new GTI (I was forced to replace my other Golf in December). You can't

Based on the number of times you pull up to a gas station, how much gas do you put in the car when you film these? Would people notice if you pulled up in a 360 and only put $10 in?

I'll admit, there's some thing about a really big fiasco that I find appealing. Not a disaster, but more of something along the lines of a good, rich clusterfuck. That's what this drunk dump truck driver accomplished when he slammed his raised dumper right into the Burlington Skyway in Canada.

I'd kill with fire any vehicle that uses buttons for volume rather than a knob.

My favourites are the extended shots where you can pan around and there's a line of awesome metal waiting at the stop signs.

I know maximum towing capacity is the most marketable stat relating to pickups, but at a certain level, if a truck is a few hundred pounds off of another, it doesn't particularly matter. Whether the truck tows 8,800 or 9,000 lbs doesn't really seem to make a difference, as the percentage of people using the entire

It sounds like the '15 with EcoBoost 2.7L is a great choice for power when you need it, and efficiency when you don't. I don't really mind having it suck gas when towing a trailer as long as it has reasonable range during the other 95% of driving. Time to start saving!

I find something oddly hypnotic about giant shredders and things that shouldn't shred, like these engine blocks.

I turned 26 on Monday and I haven't won 4 of anything, nevermind world championships.

Easter egg: extra U?

I want a vehicle like this. Something to keep for years, for the exact reason you buy a pickup truck.
