I'd probably lose all of the shoes too, but I'd be screaming in happiness.

I can't for this tech to trickle down to the MKXII GTI.

And people wonder why their frames are bent...

N: I've pleased that VW has not messed with their enthusiast products, like the GTI. Have people not learned about trim levels in the Passat or Jetta? Maybe you shouldn't have to move up a level to get certain features, but how can you be angry at a car you pay little for and get fewer toys?

Another Golf 2.5L driver checking in. My car pretty well matches the EPA numbers for fuel economy and I love shifting into 3rd and letting it go. A 6th gear would go a long way, though.

As has been said before, mostly relating to Tesla's Roadster to Model S transition, it's a tried and true business model: version 1, with crazy expensive materials and techniques, is priced for wealthy people who want the next big thing. As manufacturing improves and materials get more affordable, they can use the

I don't have a video to nominate, but that leading video is ridiculous. Having spent enough time out on the water, situational awareness is the most important part of piloting a boat and when you add that to the fact that I'm sure a marine unit position is highly competitive, I can't believe a police unit would be so

Wow, reading many of the comments, my opinion of the Canadian car market has improved. Sure, we pay more than our American neighbours for fuel and the cars themselves, but when you consider the many open, uncongested roads and reasonable taxes, it isn't so bad. Infrastructure and speed rules could use some work,

I'd love to see more hybrids take this form. Electric motors for the rear wheels only would be amazing for a whole variety of cars, hot hatches especially.

That is sweet, and is exactly the kind of vehicle I'd love to restore someday.

I remember that one every time I write.

I'm happy to see that Matt has named The Smoking Tire correctly.

That is my concern, too. There's a huge gap now in vehicles capable of towing between 2000 lbs and 5000 lbs. Sure the top end Escape can do 3500, but if you want anything larger, you have to go to a truck. A small-ish SUV with a diesel engine and electric motor capable of both towing 4000-5000 lbs and reasonable

VW is toying with me. They know I drive a Golf and want to move into a Mk7 GTI (GTD if it ever makes it to Canada), and now this in 2015? I can't wait that long!

I know it's not technically a car, but when most documentation refers to a part as the "Jesus nut", you know you better pay attention to it.

Yes.

And this concludes our extensive 3 week program!

4th: Sure do remember the Tribute! A 2004 model (above) was the car I learned to drive in, and it was great: sporty V6, pretty agile and a sweet stereo. It gave my family a pleasant 4 years, and it left enough of an impression that it's been replaced with a 2008 Tribute.

I'd pay slightly less than what a full sized pickup today is worth. A diesel Ranger, with towing capacity north of 4000 lbs would be just about perfect.
