Does this work backwards? (i mean "the hackintosh way"?) If it does it would be cool!

Kinda reminds me (sorry to double post) the days when DOS was running on non-IBM hardware...

The most interesting things people say this days. There's a lot of value on knowing this kind of stuff simply because it lets you know about building computers and installing OS's. I am one that supports the idea of buying the OS and building a machine tailored to your needs and budget.

I wanted to "liberate" my Toshiba A135-4427 from Vista (Home Premium), over a weekend i tried all other versions of Linux but the drivers for ethernet, sound or wifi where not working properly or not at all (RTL8101 Eth, Intel Prowireless that would not sign in and Realtek Sound)

@andrewsomething: I concur with you... My laptop is not capable of running Linux with wifi or eth support, but that is because of it's hardware not having drivers yet. If i install that same Linux on my desktop PC it will run flawless.

@SunnysGlimpse: Hulu (IMHO) needs to rethink their strategy. Because a wider audience makes them interesting to a wider spectrum of advertisers (oh and they SO know where you are watching from IN REAL TIME, so i simply can't get WHY they restricted their content like that, it was visible the first week it was on [nbc.

@landonmiller: Because Home Basic is featureless compared to this one (Its Ubuntu complete, one just needs to edit the Enlightenment Theme).

@MiddleGeek: Yes, yes... Remember the Burritos!

WOW! Where's the love for virtualdub? Granted you cannot convert DVD's to any format with it (that i know of) but you can get almost any other media format to almost any other media format (so you can set things like the correct aspect ratio, half resolution and half the audio sample rate, which makes files lighter

8MB of RAM? I mean no disrespect with the following quote from the DSL website index:

Even better, disable the button on said printer and solder to it a coin slot. Donate the money to your preferred charity once the coin collector is full.

Hibernate will fail when and if you change your hyperthreading settings in bios prior to waking your pc.

@eyeRmonkey: There's always Songbird (www.songbirdnest.com)... Give it a try.

NBC is the only one that works outside the us. Cool, because i forgot to watch the 2nd episode of Bionic woman...

I love the folder structure so in my case, my documents holds fine until i have to group files that i know lose context if they are all by themselves.

hmmm. Have you noticed the memory footprint? its way smaller than your average browsing session...

OK, but wouldn't it equal to the Pavlov experiment, except that you would now get sleepy after a cup of coffee?

Simply not signing it is not a complete solution... Because i have seen cases where the card has another signature on it. Best scenario is to write "Ask for Additional ID" on it.

Well, i have found refill packs that come with a clear bottle... like the ink but without any pigment.
