I do, in a sense. I have to carry five days over into each New Year to cover for school in-service days for my daughter. Since my wife works in a different district, most holidays line up but there are days like for conferences that do not.

But will these new staffers sous vide?!?!!??

We just had Meet The Teacher night last week, with a more formal Open House in a few weeks. We'll have actual conferences the week of Thanksgiving, then again in March and I think that's about it.

At our daughter’s school, the conferences are designed to be student led so that she can share with us what she’s doing/learning up to that point, then the teacher adds any additional context - typically how the kiddo performed on the state testing and how that compares to the rest of the grade in school, the grade…
