It's true, the majority here are in favor of same sex marriage, or at least don't give a damn. Problem is that the people against it seem to have all the money for the politicians.

As a Texan, I wish all of Texas wasn't lumped together. Here in Houston, we have the second largest gay population in the country. Most people are supportive of marriage equality and think it is high time it is the law. Thankfully, more Texans are thinking this way.

New York (and really all of the Northeast) is a hellscape. It's just old names and cramped and elitism. There is nothing engaging about it, every time you do anything at all you feel like you're just making a ludicrously rich person even richer. And the people who live there? Blissfully unaware. It's prep school land.
