I lack any relationship to organized religion apart from my observance of Roger Federer. That said, I think Dolgopolov threw the first round and Cilic did the same in the final. Wonder whether they’re looking at those matches—

Nah, he’s thinking (probably correctly) that Floyd won’t want to take even the 0.0001% chance of getting tagged with a lucky punch and will be content to outbox him for 12 boring rounds, and he’ll collect his $75 million.

conor mcgregor chews gum like an asshole

Ehh it gives America’s dirtbags a chance to get all riled up about “those uppity blacks.”

At least he didn’t buy a boat.

The commissioner forced the Sixers to demote Sam Hinkie because other GMs didn’t like him, so no, the NBA is absolutely not better than this.

“It’s not ‘Top of the muffin TO YOU!”’

The shooting is whatever, it’s one game. But that lack of speed...

Transported me back to Boy Scout Camp.

Am I missing something? What is wrong with tennis players that wants to play for the money? It’s their job, why do we always insist that athletes ‘love the sport’ and give everything they have every time? It’s bullshit, so he got bored with his job, if everyone commenting here got fined $15,000.00 every time they got

We all know that a lot of professional athletes where basically frog marched into training by their parents who were intent on making money off their kids. Some of them become really successful, and then there’s Kyrgios and Tomic, who have decided to tell tennis (and their parents by extension) to go fuck itself.

This is pretty standard for Nascar. I don’t remember what it’s called but the drivers and teams, who can’t afford tires and fuel for the entire race, start and then quit in order to get the last place check. And no one really holds it against them. The money is there, you’re not going to win, go take it.

Funny double standard. You play when not physically up to the task, and you are praised for your bravery. You play when not mentally ready (unless a newsworthy tragedy is the cause) and you are lambasted all over the place. Good on him for being honest about it.

Let’s take a step back here. They’re totally okay with having a guy who dismembered his wife playing, but Jerky McFunhands there is the real danger to the league?

Flip flops.

At least he stood for the National Anthem.

it was a 2nd grade english textbook.

Being Texas, I’m pretty sure the deadly weapon was a book on evolution or the Roe v Wade ruling.

The bond was originally set at $12,000, but after further review the judge multiplied it by 5/3, in compliance with Texas’ 5/3rds of a bond for 3/5ths of a person law

I’m more shocked by the facts that 1) there are people in the stands and 2) the video wasn’t shot on a phone. Is this the “Archer bump” or something?
